In 2010, the Brandenburg will bring dance music to Sydney and Melbourne. Lose yourself in an irresistible mix of baroque beats and traditional songs of sixteenth and seventeenth century Italy, performed on period instruments.
No one could have imagined the overwhelming response to Parisian-based ensemble L'Arpeggiata, when they made their Australian debut on the Brandenburg stage. It was one of the most talked about concerts in Brandenburg history - baroque met jazz, Paul danced on stage and L'Arpeggiatas singer, Lucilla Galeazzi, had the entire audience singing!
Their return for the Brandenburg 21st promises to make Baroque Tarantella one of the most anticipated concerts of 2010. Christina Pluhar will lead the orchestra in another joyous celebration of folk melodies, love stories and infectious dance rhythms.
You won’t be able to sit still to this collection of toe-tapping, tarantella-inspired tunes.
