Celebrate the festive season with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra’s much loved annual concert series Noël! Noël!. Featuring the angelic voices of the Brandenburg Choir and Brandenburg musicians on period instruments, Noël! Noël! is a stunning showcase of Christmas-inspired choral music from ancient melodies to modern day carols, selected by Artistic Director Paul Dyer.

The 12th Noël! Noël! features the sublime sound of Renaissance Italy, the divine music of medieval Germany, joyous 17th century baroque from Southern Europe as well as Mozart, Purcell and much more. From stunning soprano solos to the glorious crescendo of the Brandenburg choir, accompanied by period violins, cello, theorbo, harpsichord and a few surprises, this is achingly beautiful music.
In 2010, Noël! Noël! will also feature the world premiere of Alma Redemptoris Mater, a work for unaccompanied choir, written by a former Brandenburg chorister, now London-based composer Hugh Ronzani. As is the Noël! Noël! tradition the concert concludes with much loved carols, including the original German Silent Night, the haunting Coventry Carol, the spellbinding French Noel Nouvelet and The Little Drummer Boy.
From the mystical to the traditional and the poetic,
this is a Christmas experience unlike any other.
