Preview the new Brandenburg recording TAPAS here!

Get ready for a spicy feast of seventeenth century baroque served up by the Brandenburg’s finest – the Brandenburg Soloists.

Imagine these delicious flavours – devilish dueling violins, a haunting ‘other-worldly’ lirone, a gorgeous soprano, bells and castanets, harpsichord, the melting sounds of lutes and Spanish baroque guitars – all stirred into a thrilling mix.

Baroque Tapas is a feast for the senses featuring seductive love songs from Italy, folk melodies and exciting improvisations from some of Australia’s leading period instrument players.

You’ll swoon over Laurenti’s Introduzione Dodiceima, think that Monteverdi’s Si Dolce e il tormento is one of the most beautiful pieces of music in the world and get spun around in La Carpinese.

This exciting program has been recorded by ABC Classics for CD release in March 2010!
