Paul's ARIA Acceptance Speech



















"First of all I want to thank the nominees in the category of Best Classical. There’s a lot of really great things going on in the Classical World at the moment so I’m really proud of the category. I want to thank ARIA and ABC Classics in particular for giving us the opportunity to do a really interesting CD.

This is our 5^th ARIA award for Best Classical over the years, and Mina who is standing beside me is one of the leading people on the album and she is a great vocalist. I particularly want to thank all the musicians on Tapas. They were extraordinary because what we did was take classical music and cross over into the world of jazz and world music and a little bit of pop as well.

Lastly I wanted to thank my Dad. Dad passed away a couple of days into the recording and he was a jazz drummer and he influenced me a lot to cross over into the other mediums that you are all here for and we all love.
