| Bach and the Barber
Guest soloist, baritone Hans-Georg Wimmer (Germany) | ![]() |
Characters driven by life and love were the inspiration for this concert. Naughty, playful and profound, these arias will be vividly brought to life by the charismatic baritone Hans-Georg Wimmer, together with the Brandenburg Orchestra performing on period instruments.
Hans-Georg Wimmer is the consumate entertainer, and he will bring his glorious, rich sound to a stunning range of music, including a riotous piece from The Barber of Seville, an aria of stirring passion from Ariodante and the profoundly beautiful cantata by J.S.Bach, Ich habe genug.
This is a rare Brandenburg presentation of works spanning over 200 years, which will also include the delightful overtures from The Magic Flute and The Italian Girl in Algiers.
