Andreas Scholl - Diary of a Superstar Extra Scholl Concert Announced! Due to the incredible response to the Andreas Scholl concert series, we are pleased to announce an extra concert date on Tuesday 26 February. The Andreas Scholl concert series will feature the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and international superstar, countertenor Andreas Scholl presenting a program inspired by the 18th century castrato Senesino. Performing arias specially written for Senesino's own divine voice including Handel's fiery Al lampo dell'armi (from the opera Giulio Cesare in Egitto) and Porpora's sorrowful Va per le vane il sangue (from the opera Il trionfo di Camilla), Andreas is certain to mesmerize. This concert also features the world premiere live performance of Marco Rosano's Stabat Mater. Written specially for the voice of Andreas and using original text from an ancient medieval poem, this profoundly moving piece of music will be only the second contemporary work to be performed by the Brandenburg in their entire history! |

Programmed by the Brandenburg's own concertmaster Lucinda Moon and performed in City Recital Hall, The Music Party will feature music by Haydn, Mozart and Boccherini. New-look flyers will be in the mail soon! Brandenburg patrons are also advised that next Thursday 28 February is the deadline for subscribing.
