FUNDRAISING TO SUPPORT THE ORCHESTRA AND ITS SPECIAL ROLE
One of the most significant roles of the Brandenburg Friends is to support the Orchestra by raising funds to acquire new (period) instruments. This is an arena of support that is particularly rewarding - especially when attending a concert and seeing, and best of all, hearing, those instruments in action.

Friends' efforts to help secure instruments for the Orchestra have included commissioning two urgently needed piccolos from Austria, the baroque chamber organ, two classical oboes and purchasing components for various instruments.

ANNUAL DINNER
The Annual Dinner is one of the highlights of the Friends' calendar. Held mid-year, the Annual Dinner sees Friends members and their guests enjoy an excellent dinner with premier wines and magical music.

The evening gives Friends members and guests an opportunity to get to know Paul Dyer and the musicians, connect with other colleagues and folk who enjoy and appreciate fine music, and raise funds to support and nurture the Orchestra and its work.

PRIVATE CONCERTS AND REHEARSALS
From time to time, special concerts are held for Friends members (enhanced with champagne and canapés!). Friends are also invited to attend private rehearsal sessions during the Orchestra's subscription concert series.
