Leave behind any notions of how Messiah 'should' be staged and join Paul Dyer and the Brandenburg for a masterful presentation of this cornerstone of the baroque repertoire.
Paul has assembled a team of up-and-coming superstars in the production world to produce the Brandenburg’s first performance of this iconic masterpiece. Constantine Costi, Charlotte Mungomery and Genevieve Graham are all NIDA graduates and have been busily working with Paul on the Brandenburg’s dramatization of this well-known work.
The beautifully atmospheric and dramatic semi-staged production evokes an almost cinematic quality as it traverses the tension between darkness and light, and dream and reality, inspired by four artworks from the baroque period.
No aspect of the performance has been left unadorned. Careful consideration of the space on stage, the costumes, the actions and movements of the performers, have been meticulously planned to create as much of a visual and emotional impact on the audience as an aural one.
The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and Brandenburg Choir and our four stellar soloists will leave you spellbound.
Handel's Messiah will be unlike any other performance you have seen. Don't miss out.
