As many of you would be aware, performance venues across Australia have closed as one of the numerous measures governments have put in place to slow the spread of COVID-19. We wish to assure you that the wellbeing of our audiences and employees is of the utmost importance for the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra.
With the Government’s restriction on non-essential mass gatherings now limited to 100 people, our three major performance venues QPAC (Brisbane), MRC (Melbourne) and CRH (Sydney) have all closed. In addition, we have received a mandatory Public Health Order from the NSW Government to prevent us from performing any further concerts until 14 June 2020.
As a result, we have cancelled Series 2, Mozart’s Clarinet.
Our Box Office is fielding a large volume of calls currently, so we appreciate your patience while we handle these calls. If you need to contact our Box Office, please do so by emailing email@example.com or leave a message on our answering machine 1300 782 856 and we will return your call as soon as possible.
These uncertain times will have a significant impact on our live performance industry, and we stand with our arts community in this crisis. In the coming weeks, we will be working on ways to continue to bring you the joy and beauty of Baroque music until the concert halls can re-open.
On behalf of our musicians and staff, thank you for your patronage and support during this time.
Paul Dyer AO, Artistic Director
Bruce Applebaum, Managing Director
