A message from Paul Dyer:
I cannot imagine a life without sound. Ever since I was four years old, I have wanted to play music for people. Now I realise I have a unique opportunity to share my passion and dedication to music to create good feelings, to make people smile, to make music relevant to people’s lives.
Capturing the hearts of our audience at home is the foundation that allows us to stand amongst the world’s greats. When I think about how far we have come, I know that we can be counted as one of the best period orchestras, and that we can and will perform on the best stages of the world; from the Vienna Konzerthaus to Carnegie Hall.
When I think about where we want to go, I know we need to expand, nurture and develop not only our existing musicians but new generations of young Australian talent – and to be relevant at an international level to retain them.
We have the confidence and the expertise, now we need the means and the security.
We need your help.
THE BRANDENBURG FOUNDATION
was established in 2010 to provide support and stability for the long term future welfare of the Brandenburg and to help ensure the Orchestra is recognised both here and around the world as the repository of baroque expertise in Australia.
Financial security will allow us to continue to cultivate the extraordinary talent of our current musicians and to identify and develop the next generation of baroque specialists. Your donation literally provides the foundation for the Orchestra, granting us insurance against economic downturns in funding, sponsorship or subscription and ticket sales.
The capital funds may be directed towards specific projects – such as rare instrument acquisition or a permanent home for the company; or they may support the Orchestra’s ongoing operational needs. These include professional development opportunities for our core musicians as well as those emerging musicians, our national and regional touring and staging costs, engaging leading international guest artists, as well as salary support for our ensemble musicians.
With your support we will remain one of the outstanding performers in Australian cultural life. The entry level to support the Brandenburg Foundation is a donation of $10,000.
The Brandenburg Foundation offers you the opportunity to provide your personal support to the Orchestra and to contribute to securing our future. By becoming a member at one of the nominated levels you become a part of the Brandenburg family. Donations to the Foundation are cumulative towards the recognition levels and are fully tax-deductible.
The Brandenburg Foundation Limited is a separate entity to the Brandenburg Ensemble Limited trading as the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and has its own Board of Directors. The Directors donate their time and knowledge to ensure the management of the Foundation funds remains true to the principles on which our Foundation was established.
