Events & Development Programs Manager – Australian Brandenburg Orchestra
The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra celebrates music of the baroque period (16th, 17th and 18th centuries) and showcases Australia’s finest baroque musicians performing on period instruments. With a program that presents world-renowned guest artists from Australia and abroad, led by charismatic Artistic Director Paul Dyer, the Brandenburg are known for their expressive, joyful performance style. The Brandenburg presents six concert series a year across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane along with regional and national tours.
The Brandenburg is looking to appoint an Events & Development Programs Manager to join its Development department. This position works closely with the Head of Development, Philanthropy Manager and Corporate Partnerships Manager to execute the Company’s strategy around engaging with supporters, donors and corporate partners through special events and programs.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in events with great organisational and relationship management skills. They will have a pro-active approach and work with efficiency in what is a busy role. They will be a collaborator, working effectively across functions within the organisation to deliver on development strategy and priorities. A key aspect of this role is working to budget and sales targets for events, proactively initiating strategies to drive supporter engagement around events and to negotiate beneficial arrangements through suppliers and/or to deliver new event partners. They will be an ambassador for the brand and be an exceptional ‘host’, whether at major gala events, concerts, smaller scale events and in their day-to-day role, ensuring our supporters, donors and partners are offered a world-class Brandenburg experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Project management of the calendar of development events including managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure all events are delivered on time and within budget;
- Managing overall administration for events including co-ordination of invitations or on-sales, ticketing, marketing, artistic requirements, customer inquiries, sourcing and managing suppliers;
- Business development – seeking out brands, suppliers, venues and other organisations who may support the events strategy or to bring on as an event partner;
- Account and relationship management – providing great service to all stakeholders, whether corporate partner contacts, supporters or suppliers.
