Donating to the Orchestra
It is through the generosity of our supporters that we can continue to bring the joy and splendour of Baroque music to audiences around the world, on stage and online. Donations provide vital funding, sustaining our operations and enabling us to engage the very best specialist Australian musicians to produce the thrilling world-class concerts that our audiences love.

Annual Giving
Annual Giving donations are at the core of philanthropy at the Brandenburg and support the company’s day-to-day operations. Annual Giving donations directly support our talented musicians and provide us with the capacity to stage world-class performances of Baroque and early music for audiences across the country.
Ticket sales do not cover all the costs of running Australia’s national Baroque orchestra and it is through the generosity of donors that we are able to fulfil our mission of delivering inspiring performances.

Major Giving Programs
In addition to our annual giving donations, the Brandenburg has several philanthropic funds that contribute towards specific areas of the orchestra’s work. Our legacy as Australia’s national Baroque orchestra is able to live on thanks to your generosity.
Orchestral Chairs
Our Orchestral Chairs program enables us to continue to engage the very best period musicians from around Australia. By joining our Orchestral Chairs program, you are directly subsidising the costs associated with your chosen chair of the orchestra. Our Orchestral Chair supporters recognise and celebrate exceptional Australian creative talent and the importance of supporting professional career opportunities for specialist musicians in this country.
Chairman’s 11
Our Chairman’s 11 members share a collective passion for artistic excellence and innovation and are committed to supporting the very best musicians and artists from around the world. Chairman’s 11 supporters enable us to continue to showcase world-class guest artists on our stage, many who perform for the first time in Australia with the Brandenburg.
The Brandenburg Foundation
Donations to the Brandenburg Foundation support the future of the company and of Baroque music in Australia. By building funds in the Foundation, we can protect the company by providing insurance against future economic uncertainty to ensure a vibrant future for the company for many generations to come. The Brandenburg Foundation is a separate entity to the orchestra and has its own Board of Directors. With your support, we can ensure that the Brandenburg continues to play an important role in Australia’s cultural life for generations to come.

A bequest to the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra in your Will can take several forms:
- A specific bequest
You can bequest to the Brandenburg a specified dollar amount large or small, or a specified asset such as shares or real estate.
- A percentage bequest
You can bequest to the Brandenburg a nominated percentage of your estate up to 100%.
- A residual bequest
You can bequest to the Brandenburg the balance of the value of your estate after those specifically named in your Will have been provided for and all debts and expenses of the estate have been paid.
- An alternative or contingent bequest
You can make a bequest to the Brandenburg where the Brandenburg will only become a beneficiary in the unlikely event that the other recipients named in your Will do not survive you.
It is important that all bequests to the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra are made using our full legal name, Brandenburg Ensemble Limited ABN 41 003 908 183.
Alternatively, you may wish to make a bequest to the Brandenburg Foundation. The Brandenburg Foundation was established to provide support and stability for the long term artistic future of the Brandenburg Orchestra.
If you would like to make a bequest to the Brandenburg Foundation, please use the foundation’s full legal name, Brandenburg Foundation. The Brandenburg Foundation is operated by Brandenburg Foundation Limited ABN 79 122 406 099, which is a separate entity and has its own Board of Directors.
For a specific, percentage or residual bequest to the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra
I _________________________, give to the Brandenburg Ensemble Limited (ABN 41 003 908 183) Level 1, 247 Coward Street Mascot, in the state of New South Wales

free from all duties to be used for the general purposes of Brandenburg Ensemble Limited and I DECLARE that the receipt of the Director, Company Secretary or other authorised officer of Brandenburg Ensemble Limited for the time shall be an absolute discharge to my executor for my bequest.
If an alternative or contingent bequest
If any of my nominated beneficiaries predecease me, the bequest shall not fail but I give the share of my deceased beneficiary to Brandenburg Ensemble Limited (ABN 41 003 908 183).
For a bequest to the Brandenburg Foundation
