Led by Artistic Director, Paul Dyer AO, and known for pushing the boundaries of what a classical concert should be, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra is Australia's flagship Baroque orchestra. Since the beginning in 1989, we’ve become a leading voice in the Australian cultural landscape. The company performs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and has established a regular touring program in regional New South Wales & Victoria.

You will join our small and dedicated team in Sydney to help deliver Early Music to all Australia via live and digital performances.

About the Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Graphic Designer will craft visually stunning materials that resonate with the Brandenburg’s artistic vision. This position is part-time (3 days per week) and is ideal for a junior Graphic Designer looking to get a start in the arts industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and design of various company materials, including but not limited to, digital assets, social media graphics, print collateral, presentations, and more.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and creative agencies to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Execute design concepts based on creative briefs and brand guidelines.
  • Work with various design software and tools to bring concepts to life.
  • Maintain and organise design files and assets.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate fresh ideas into design projects.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and offer creative input for marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

  • A degree or certification in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficient with design for print specifications.
  • Basic understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for design and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • A passion for music, theatre and the arts in general.
