Passion, daring and heroism: the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra break new ground with their latest album, exploring the music of three of the Romantic era’s greatest composers on period instruments.

A Very Brandenburg Christmas contains well-loved carols with the Brandenburg Choir, baroque masterpieces brought to new life, choral and operatic favourites, and – for the first time – the magical sound of the bandura, played here by Ukranian Larissa Kovalchuk.

This album marks our 25th anniversary. Brandenburg Celebrates features Prelude and Cube, the epic work we commissioned of Elena Kats-Chernin. The rest of the album is pure baroque, including Handel’s Coronation Anthem No. 1 Zadok the Priest, plus music by Vivaldi, Brescianello, Geminiani and Telemann.
