A Very Brandenburg Christmas contains well-loved carols with the Brandenburg Choir, baroque masterpieces brought to new life, choral and operatic favourites, and – for the first time – the magical sound of the bandura, played here by Ukranian Larissa Kovalchuk.
This album marks our 25th anniversary. Brandenburg Celebrates features Prelude and Cube, the epic work we commissioned of Elena Kats-Chernin. The rest of the album is pure baroque, including Handel’s Coronation Anthem No. 1 Zadok the Priest, plus music by Vivaldi, Brescianello, Geminiani and Telemann.
The greatest countertenor of his generation, Andreas Scholl continues his strong relationship with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra in this outstanding recording of sacred and secular works by Vivaldi. Featuring Scholl in some of the composer’s sublime, sacred Cantatas, including Nisi Dominus.
The live concert recording of our 2010 Noël! Noël! concert at City Recital Hall Angel Place. It features the soaring voices of our Brandenburg Choir performing divine music by Palestrina, Mozart and Purcell, as well as much-loved carols including The Little Drummer Boy, O Come All Ye Faithful, and Silent Night.
A collection of 21 Brandenburg favourites chosen by our audience to celebrate our 21st birthday. Includes tracks from 14 Brandenburg recordings and 4 ARIA award-winning CDs. Features Yvonne Kenny soprano, Andreas Scholl countertenor, Kirsten Barry oboe, Craig Hill clarinet, Jamie Hey cello, Geneveive Lacey recorder and the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra on period instruments.
This live recording of the 2001 concert ‘Mozart’s Queen of the Night,’ features American soprano Cyndia Sieden performing some of Mozart’s best loved arias. It also features Australia’s finest exponent of the period clarinet, Craig Hill, performing Mozart’s famous Clarinet Concerto in A.
An instrumental opera for recorder and orchestra. An original concept conceived by and starring Australian virtuoso recorder player, Genevieve Lacey, taking segments from both vocal and instrumental works by Vivaldi to create a ‘pasticcio’, in this case a sort of opera without words.
